Hello all. I'm starting to research the CMA exam. I've recently completed my CPA and apparently I feel like I haven't suffered enough, so I'm considering a CMA as well.
I'm a little confused as to if what I do at my job will meet the work experience requirements. I have a pretty standard private accounting job. We have a month end close where I prepare and upload journal entries. I also prepare account reconciliations and prepare and analyze reports that go to upper management.
I believe I would qualify as I definitely do financial analysis although its maybe 30% of what I do. If you are an accountant are you pretty much assured of meeting the requirements or is it more stringent than that?
