So frustrated right now. Here is my situation, please help if you can. I recently passed the exam as a NY candidate and will receive my license because I have 138 credits and 15 years CPA experience, (NY has an out for the 150 credit rule). I want to transfer the license to a state that requires 150 hours. I need to do the extra 12 credits on line due to work and life schedule. I have called some major universities and community colleges inquiring how to take on line courses as a non degree seeking candidate. All are looking at me like I have three heads because I am not seeking a degree and they seemed confused. Has any had any luck getting the extra credits at an on line university to meet the 150 hour rule? I need 4 upper division undergrad level accounting courses in the 3000 or 4000 range. I cant believe I passed the exam and cant get the credits I need on line. Please help me navigate this problem. University of Phoenix is a rip off. What am I doing wrong? How is U of Southern NH? I tried Florida international and FAU, they have no idea what I am trying to do and keep bouncing me from admissions to the accounting department. Please help, I spent so much time passing this thing and now cant get the credits I need? This cant be correct.
