Hi Everyone. I am looking for any advice which I can get on steps I can take after CPA (I've googled it every possible way and I got zilch).
I wont take up much of your time, so in a nutshell - I am a Certified CPA (2012) and I am currently working for one of the Big 4s (it will be 4 years in September), but I am getting really restless right now. I want to get out, but I have NO idea what to do. I can't leave without having a definite plan. I decided I have these options in front of me -
(i) Pursue an MBA - [Is CPA + MBA a favorable combination?]
(ii) Pursue Masters in say Applied Finance - [Masters vs MBA? Will I be taking a step backward if I do a Masters after completing my CPA?]
(iii) Specialization - [I think specializing is a strong option maybe in a field such as Fraud Accounting. Any other options?]
(iv) Another job? - [I have been working a lot on Employee Benefit Plans accounting and would love to work in this field]
I am really stuck and I think my brain will turn into mush if I do not get out soon. I would appreciate any kind of advice on the above or anything else you can think of. Thanks in advance! =)
