So I am in quite a pickle and need advice.
I scheduled to retake REG on the 28th. My NTS expires in June (useless month to expire). I'm taking FAR this Sunday which would leave me 21 days to study.
My boss subsequently scheduled me on a first-year out-of-town audit and said I need to change my exam date.
The latest dates available right now are the 20-23rd, which disadvantages me at least three full days of prep time. I feel like I was really pushing it with 21 days and anymore than that I might as well throw out my exam fees.
There are two other staff I would be able to switch with but he is adamant about me going.
He is always on our backs to finish the exam and I feel like I am being disadvantaged for trying to fulfill that goal.
So, my proposal to him is going to be that I be reimbursed for my exam fees + reschedule fees (a little over $200) if we can not change the schedule.
If he refuses to do this, I might go to our partner to have him reason. It's a pretty small firm with the principal, partner and about 10 other employees. If I still can't get anything out of it, I'm tempted to leave my job, which is a really scary thought.
I'm just in a huge upheaval right now and don't know what to do.
I wish I would have known this initially, as I was really stressing to get FAR and REG in this month...ugh.
Any advice for how to approach my boss about this or just....support or suggestions is greatly appreciated.
