I found out today that I passed FAR (my final section) of the CPA exam and I ecstatic!! However, my happiness was dampened a little bit because I found out that I might also have to take the Ethics Exam. However, I am not 100% of what to do given my situation.
Here's My Situation:
I registered to take the CPA Exam in Virginia because they have a NTS that lasts for one-year. However, I will not be living in Virginia. I live in Alabama currently and will be moving to Georgia later this month for a job at a public accounting firm. My two questions are:
1) Do I apply for my official license in Virginia and then get a Certificate of Reciprocity for Georgia once I become an official CPA?
(I ask this because Virginia has an Ethics Exam requirement that is not required in Georgia)
2) Or do I transfer my credit for having passed the exam to Georgia and apply for a CPA license there?
I've looked for answer but had no success and both state board of accountancy's are closed for the weekend.
Does anybody know what I should do?
