CPA Exam Community,
Will a degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting at University of Phoenix meet the requirements to sit for the exam in California?
I will have well over 150 units and a bachelor’s degree after completion. I'm just not 100% sure if all the courses apply to the 24 semester units in accounting-related subjects and the 24 semester units in business-related subjects to sit for the exam. I’m worried that I won’t have enough accounting related courses.
Here are all the courses I have with UOP (each course worth 3 semester units):
- BCOM/275 BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS AND CRITICAL THINKING
- BIS/220 INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER APPLICATIONS AND SYSTEMS
- MGT/230 MANAGEMENT THEORY AND PRACTICE
- ACC/290 PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTING I
- ACC/291 PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTING II
- RES/351 BUSINESS RESEARCH
- ETH/316 ETHICS AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
- MGT/311 ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- ECO/372 PRINCIPLES OF MACROECONOMICS
- LAW/421 CONTEMPORARY BUSINESS LAW
- ECO/365 PRINCIPLES OF MICROECONOMICS
- FIN/370 FINANCE FOR BUSINESS
- MKT/421 MARKETING
- QNT/351 QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS FOR BUSINESS
- BUS/475 INTEGRATED BUSINESS TOPICS
- MKT/498 INTEGRATED MARKETING STRATEGY
- MKT/435 CONSUMER BEHAVIOR
