Hi community - I'm a rising 2nd yr staff in the southeast in big 4 audit and am feeling the itch for a change. Haven't felt great about my clients so far and feel like I'm just not learning as much as I had hoped. I've tried getting onto a new set of clients since early this summer, but not much has changed. Anyone been in a similar situation? What should I be asking myself?
I don't think I would want to move into industry very soon. Perhaps after 2-4 yrs in public, but not sure yet. Also, if I wanted to go back and get an MBA or try and move into a finance role, I think it may be easier with a Big 4 on my résumé than if I were a staff accountant at some public company?
I'd like to keep my options somewhat open, but would also think that a change would be nice. Aren't I too young to be bored in my job?
Has anyone else switched among public firms and what has your experience been?
