I'm not sure if anyone has had this same problem, but I am going crazy trying to reason it.

Here it is:
I haven't started studying for the CPA yet (I am a CT resident), I am currently working full time and also a full time grad student. I will have my 150 credit hours in May. I plan to take a breather this summer, and start the CPA madness this fall. My problem is:

I am a cost accountant, where I meet almost all of the experience criteria EXCEPT my boss doesn't have his CPA, his boss has an expired CPA, and pretty much anyone I could use for my experience requirement has an expired CPA license. (which I think is insane). I need 2 years of experience under a CPA. So far I've been at this company for 1 year, but it will not count because I don't work under any CPA.

So pretty much, I have no one to use. My dilemma is:

-Do I stay at my company, suck it up and get the CPA done and then leave?

-Or leave now because I might be wasting my time? (in terms of getting my experience requirement)

I guess it just surprises me how many people let their licenses lapse after all of that hard work.....
