CPA_AnyDayNow on "Public accounting - billable hours"

For those of us that work in public accounting: is there an expectation for the number of BILLABLE hours you are expected to put in each week? I have not been told of any at my firm - yet I know that if I can't get any in, I'll be out of a job.
